Marvy Metallic Markers

You will need

Marvy Metallic Markers Spritzer Bottle
Gloss Card Stock Sea Sponge or Kitchen Roll

To Start

The nibs of the markers will be white when first opened. Therefore, push down on the nib a few
times until the ink flows through the nib.

Step by Step

  1. Place blobs of your desired colour of marker on to your gloss card stock in a random motion.
  2. Repeat with all of desired colours
  3. Using your spritzer bottle, spritz liberally all over page with water until all colours begin to merge into one another.
  4. Then, either using a slightly damp sea sponge or kitchen roll dab it on to the water and ink, mixing the colours and spreading them over the card with a textured look.
  5. Allow to dry on a flat surface

Tips

When you have spritzed the ink you can throw on evenly some sea salt crystals. Leave them on and allow to dry (possibly over night). When dry shake the salt off and this will leave gaps where the salt has been - giving another look.
The salt will then be stained with the colourful inks and can be used in shaker cards and also as an embellishment to your card making.

Let yourself be creative and have a play with different things to create your own colourful cards.

This technique also looks great on acetate!
